I'm Carlos Delgado Salas.
I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. I studied Telecommunications Engineering at Universidad Catolica Andres Bello. As a student, I was involved with the Student Movement to seek respect for human and civil rights, sometimes even putting our lives in harm’s way. We rallied against the oppression of Chavez’ government.
After that, I was actively involved with a political movement and party (Voluntad Popular) that wishes to overcome poverty in Venezuela and seeks a society where all the rights are for everyone. This led me to work with David Smolansky, former Major of El Hatillo Municipality with the mission to change our city, our state, and then our country.
In 2015 I left Venezuela in order to pursue a Master's in Public Policy degree at Georgetown University. After graduating, I started doing Data Consulting for the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank.
